Screen Rant presents an exclusive clip from the upcoming horror film Unseen, starring Jolene Purdy, Missi Pyle, and Grey’s Anatomy’s Midori Francis.

Screen Rant is proud to present an exclusive clip from the upcoming horror film Unseen, which will be distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment on March 24 through digital platforms and On Demand. The latest project from Blumhouse Television and MGM+, which is directed by Yoko Okumura (Good Trouble) from a screenplay by Salvatore Cardoni and Brian Rawlins, is being distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment. Unseen follows a gas station clerk named Sam who is awakened from her emotional stupor by a call from a nearly blind stranger named Emily, who is attempting to escape her murderous ex.

Unseen stars Jolene Purdy (WandaVision) as Sam and Midori Francis (who recently joined the cast of Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Mika Yasuda) as Emily. The film also boasts performances from acclaimed comedic actress Missi Pyle, who has already proven herself to be the perfect addition to any thriller thanks to Gone Girl. Emily relies on Sam to get her through the woods while her abusive boyfriend hunts her down, but when the battery dies Pyle’s aggressively unhappy customer becomes an accidental help.

More About Unseen

Missi Pyle in Unseen

Screen Rant‘s exclusive clip from Unseen gives audiences a peek at Sam’s growing bond with Emily, as the former tries desperately to keep the latter on track and on the line. Such a task proves incredibly difficult when Carol (Pyle) shows up and starts screeching in her ear about poor customer service. To make matters worse, Sam’s phone dies and the very uncooperative Carol becomes her only hope.

Okomura has pulled off a little-seen feat in the casting of Unseen, as both leads are Japanese American women. This deepens the unspoken bond between them, and also makes the film a celebration of diverse stories told by diverse voices. In addition to that, the trailer (which can be seen below) showcases the balance of humor and horror that screenwriters Cardoni and Rawlins maintain throughout the movie. Unseen relies on the magnetism of the women at its forefront, as well as on the viewers’ ability to enjoy the stakes.

Blumhouse Television is already following through on its commitment to exciting storytelling available for home viewing. Aside from Unseen, the production company started off strong with the disturbing supernatural film There’s Something Wrong with the Children in January, and the highly-acclaimed Nanny is also streaming now on Prime Video. MGM+’s original programming has also been worthy of its acclaim, from the Forest Whitaker-led Godfather of Harlem to the recent period drama Billy the Kid.
